Adinkra Steel Works has fabricated structural steel, gates, staircases and industrial racking from its Tema yard since 2009. The workshop runs two CNC plasma tables, a 3-metre press brake and six certified welders, so most jobs are cut, welded, galvanised and finished on the same site rather than subcontracted out.
Work splits roughly evenly between contractors building in Greater Accra and factories along the Tema industrial belt needing mezzanines, walkways and machine guards. The team handles site measurement, load drawings for approval, fabrication and installation, and keeps a stock of standard gate and burglar-proofing profiles for jobs that need to be finished within a week.
Deliveries within Tema and Accra are made on the company's own flatbed. Quotes are issued within 24 hours of a site visit and hold for 30 days, with 60% deposit on order and the balance on installation.
